Hallelujah! May the peace of God be with you. I’m now coming to the end of my ministry trip in the United States.Currently, I’m visiting Blue Sky Acres in Springfield, Georgia, an Equine Mentorship Ministry that helps people experience hope, healing, and growth through connecting with horses.

The ministry serves children, teens, and adults who have experienced trauma, as well as children with disabilities. Through its Mentored Employment Program, it also provides vocational training and job opportunities for adults with special needs.

While I’ve been here, something deeply reminded me of our North Korean brothers and sisters.Behind me stands a horse that was rescued after being badly abused. When I saw the photos of when it was found, it was emaciated—almost at the point of death. Because of its trauma, it usually doesn’t approach people easily. But to my amazement, it walked right up to the North Korean missionary who spent ten years in a prison camp simply for preaching the gospel. Watching that moment touched me deeply. It reminded me that our North Korean escapees, much like this horse, carry deep scars. They survived starvation and unthinkable suffering during the “North Korean Famine.” They crossed the river of death in search of life, and even after reaching freedom in South Korea, many still carry pain and trauma beyond what words can describe. But when two wounded souls meet—one human and one animal— there’s a mysterious kind of healing that happens on both sides.

The leaders of this ministry told me that they’ve been praying for Caleb Mission for the past three years. Now, we’re praying together that one day, North Korean escapees will be able to come here as well— to find rest, healing, and renewal through Christ.

Above all, please continue to pray that those who have been wounded will find true restoration through the gospel and live the kind of life that brings joy to God’s heart. Many believers here in the U.S. are faithfully praying for North Korean refugees, and I’d like to invite all of you, our partners in the gospel, to keep joining in that prayer. As I prepare to return home, I’m finishing this trip with deep gratitude.By the time you read this, some of our North Korean brothers and sisters will have begun their journey out of China. Please pray that every trace of trauma and pain will be washed away, and that they will step into a completely new life in Christ.

Thank you, as always, for your prayers and love. Because of your intercession, I can return home safely— and for that, I’m truly grateful.

In Christ’s love and service,

Pastor Seungeun Kim

1. Heavenly Father, we bless the ministry of Blue Sky Acres. May many find healing and restoration through this work, and may the day come when North Korean refugees also experience emotional and spiritual renewal in this place.

2. God, please guide the new North Korean rescue mission safely under the leading of the Holy Spirit. Protect every step of the journey and make the way smooth with Your grace.

3. God, bless all the churches, pastors, and believers in the U.S. who are praying and partnering with us. Unite their hearts to bring life to the lost and strength to the spreading of the gospel.

In Jesus' Name,

Amen
