Hallelujah! May the God of peace be with each of you. For the past 27 years, Caleb Mission has been able to rescue North Korean escapees through God’s grace and the faithful prayers and partnership of people like you. Even now, additional North Koreans are making the dangerous journey toward freedom.

Throughout this ministry, I have witnessed God’s protection and guidance in circumstances that cannot be explained apart from His grace. I also firmly believe that your prayers and intercession have played a vital role in saving many precious lives. For this, I remain deeply grateful to God and to each of you.

The women who were recently rescued have endured unimaginable suffering. Many originally crossed the Tumen or Yalu River not only to survive, but also in the hope of helping their starving families in North Korea. Yet after reaching China, they still found neither freedom nor security.

Some were forced into marriages they had never chosen. Despite their circumstances, they tried to remain faithful to their families and care for their children. Some were deeply reluctant to leave their children and families in China, even shortly before their rescue.

However, after years of severe and repeated violence—including broken bones and serious physical injuries—they were ultimately left with no choice but to flee once again. Having already left their families in North Korea in an effort to help them survive, they were then forced to leave behind another family in China. Their lives have been marked by profound suffering, separation, and loss.

Rescuing women in these desperate circumstances and sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ with them is at the heart of Caleb Mission’s work. Through your prayers and faithful partnership, many lives have been brought to safety and given the opportunity to hear the gospel.

Please continue to pray for the rescue that is currently underway. Pray for the safety of everyone involved and that those being rescued will encounter God personally, hear the gospel, and place their trust not in this world, but in Him.
