Caleb Mission Newsletter 💌 The Fourth Week of August

Hallelujah! I pray that the God of peace is with you. On this scorching summer day, I pray for your good health. This heat will pass, and I believe there will be a grace of God.

The pandemic has posed challenges for North Korea. Despite this, the regime is prioritizing its missile and nuclear weapons programs, which has led to increased starvation. Additionally, the people are currently contending with significant casualties caused by flooding.

It is evident how tough life must be in North Korea based on the reports of North Korean citizens and soldiers defecting across the ceasefire line. Furthermore, there has been an increase in the arrest and repatriation of North Korean defectors in China.

Despite facing various challenges, we have been rescuing North Korean defectors and carrying out gospel ministry with the grace of God. Thanks to the prayers of our supporters. Recently, many North Korean defector women who have been sold into forced marriage have requested us to rescue their children as well, which poses significant difficulties.

It is essential to rescue North Korean defectors and provide proper care for their children. However, the current space at the Southeast Asia Center is not enough. Therefore, we need to relocate to a larger place where North Korean defector women and their children can stay and receive care. To achieve this, we need $200,000 to cover the one-year rental fee, relocation costs, the missionary's honorarium, and other expenses.

It is a considerable sum. However, I believe that assisting North Korean defectors to escape to South Korea alone will not lead to true freedom. Our responsibility is to share the gospel with them so that they can find true freedom in Jesus Christ. No matter what happens, the gospel and bread must be given together. Therefore, the North Korean defectors' community center here in Korea is also important. Thanks for all your support.

This week, the North Korean defectors rescued by Caleb Mission were released from the South Korean government facility and joined our church’s Sunday service. It is important for them to become leaders of the next generation and North Korean missions. Therefore, the significance of the Southeast Asia Center is repeatedly emphasized.

Please join us in prayer so these individuals may come to know God and become leaders for the next generation in spreading the gospel message. Your donation, no matter how small, is greatly appreciated.

I plan to visit the United States for over a month, starting at Liberty University in Virginia. If any individuals or churches would like to invite me as a guest speaker in Raleigh, NC, from September 9th to 20th, and in the Virginia, Maryland, and DC area on October 6th, don't hesitate to contact us.

I would like to ask you to pray for this US trip. Thank you.

🙏🏻❤️Please pray with us for North Korea ❤️🙏🏻

1. Heavenly Father, please provide us with co-workers and bless us with the necessary finances to make the ministry of Caleb Mission more active.

2. God, please ensure the safe rescue of North Korean defectors and the relocation of the Southeast Asia Center to provide them with assistance in accepting Jesus.

3. God, please bring people together to pray and share life and the gospel through generous donations. Please also ensure the safety of the ministers and the process. In Jesus' Name, Amen
