Hallelujah! I pray that the God of peace will be with you. By God’s grace, I am continuing to carry out my ministry schedule here in the United States. As the Chuseok holiday (the Korean Thanksgiving) has just come to an end, I hope you were able to spend this special season richly in God’s grace.

For the North Korean escapees hiding in China, however, Chuseok is often a time of loneliness and hardship. Even those in our North Korean community centers in South Korea feel deep sorrow, because although they have a hometown, they cannot go back.

Yet they have shared with me the encouragement that, within their communities, they find comfort in God’s grace and draw strength as they spend this holiday together.

Just as we are praying together for the reunification of North and South Korea, I continue to devote myself here in the U.S. to ministry for North Korean escapees. Even after this Chuseok season, I invite you to continue joining us in prayer for them and for the reunification of Korea through the gospel.

Here in the U.S., I will continue striving to save even one more life and to bring one more person into the mission for North Korea. I sincerely ask for your support and, above all, your prayers.

Thank you, and may God bless you.

In Christ’s love and service,

Pastor Seungeun Kim

1. Heavenly Father, we lift up the North Korean escapees who cannot return to their hometowns or see their families during this holiday season. May Your deep comfort and perfect peace be poured out upon them.

2. God, we ask for Your compassion on the North Korean escapees hiding in China. Please guide and bless the rescue efforts so that they may surely find freedom.

3. God, we pray for Your blessing upon the Southeast Asia Center. May the escapees there come to know the gospel, and may You raise them up as leaders of the next generation to carry forward the work of the reunification of North and South Korea through the gospel.

4. God, please remember the missionaries, ministry staff, and partners who are serving faithfully even during the holiday season. Strengthen them with Your grace, and allow them to experience Your abundant blessing as they spend this holiday in Your presence.

In Jesus' Name,

Amen
