Hallelujah! I pray that the God of peace will always be with you. As the summer heat intensifies, I pray that you stay healthy physically, and that you may be strengthened spiritually through prayerāso that you may continue to live this season by the grace that comes from the Lord.
As Iāve shared many times before, our North Korean brothers and sisters are facing severe trials in China. More than the unbearable heat, they are suffering from constant fearāfear of being arrested by the authorities and living each day under threat.
Every rescue mission that Caleb Mission undertakes for each one of these escapees involves countless prayers, sacrifices, and dedication from people like you. We praise God who has led Caleb Mission thus far. And we consider it a precious blessing that those who have been rescued can now spend time at our Southeast Asia center learning about God and encountering the gospel. We earnestly desire that they find true strength in Jesus Christ alone.
Next week, I will be traveling to the United States for ministry. As we mark the 80th anniversary of Koreaās liberation, I dream and pray for a new kind of liberationāone that leads not to division but to a unified Korea under the reign of God. For the past 27 years, Caleb Mission has devoted itself to this vision: rescuing countless escapees and proclaiming the gospel.
True reunification will come not through politics or power, but through the gospel and in the name of Jesus. It will be the fruit of the Churchās sacrifice and intercession.
Just as God told Abraham when he arrived in the unfamiliar land of Canaan, āI will make you prosper,ā we believe God will also bless this journey of faith. Please continue to pray that Caleb Mission may rescue the oppressed and boldly proclaim the gospel.
As I travel, please pray that I may encounter the people God has preparedāand that just as Scripture says, āGo in peace,ā the meetings will be filled with divine peace and purpose.
Your prayers can save lives, break down strongholds in North Korea, and help establish altars of worship to our God where idols once stood. Your intercession is not in vaināit is part of a mighty spiritual movement.
I also humbly ask for your prayers over the upcoming event Iāve been invited toācommemorating the 80th anniversary of Koreaās liberation, held at Biola University. May Godās powerful work be revealed there.
And please, never forget the tearful prayers of the North Korean escapees. Praying for āthe least of theseā and standing with those who sufferāthat is the very heart of Jesus. That is the calling of the Church. Thank you, and may God bless you abundantly.
In Christ's love and service,
Pastor Seungeun Kim

1. Heavenly Father, anoint all those who are praying and laboring together for this mission. May the work of rescuing North Korean escapees and proclaiming the gospel never cease.
2. God, may Your peace be upon Pastor Kim Seungeunās schedule in the U.S., and please protect his health.
3. God, pour out Your abundant grace upon the North Korean escapees studying Your Word at the Southeast Asia Center, as well as the missionaries who are teaching and guiding them. May every moment glorify Your name and be a part of Your powerful, redemptive work.
In Jesus' Name,
Amen
