Hallelujah! I pray that the God of peace will be with you all. It is already March. On the mountain near our North Korean Escapees’ Center, new buds are beginning to appear, and shepherd’s purse flowers are already blooming. The seasons change faithfully, yet God’s work never changes. Each day, we continue with gratitude.

Your prayers and partnership are always with us in this ministry to North Korean escapees. Last week, by God’s grace, several escapees were rescued and safely arrived at their place of settlement. What moves us most is seeing how God works beyond anything we could accomplish ourselves. In every moment of this ministry, we witness His greater plan unfolding.

Last week was especially meaningful for us. Since resuming our rescue work after COVID, the 10th group of North Korean escapees we helped rescue has now begun their new lives in South Korea. After three months of Bible study and discipleship training at our Southeast Asia center, and completing the government resettlement process in South Korea, they are now officially settled—exactly one year after their rescue.

In God’s perfect timing, they came to our church and worshiped with us.

They shared with me,ā€œThe process was very difficult, Pastor. It took a full year to escape and resettle. But living in South Korea, we have come to understand what God’s grace truly is and what gratitude really means. We are deeply thankful that we can live in freedom because people of great faith prayed for us and supported us.ā€

As I listened to their testimony during worship, I was once again overwhelmed by God’s grace. I prayed that these sisters would one day become leaders for the next generation of North Korean missions.

God allows us to sow and to reap, and through the fruit He brings forth, He accomplishes His work.

Beginning next week, I will be traveling for several ministry engagements. Even during this time, we are expecting God to continue His mighty work. We move forward trusting His guidance, remembering the words of Scripture: ā€œFaith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.ā€

We continue to pray and believe that more North Korean escapees will be rescued, more will be raised as disciples of Christ, and that North and South Korea will one day be unified through the gospel. I carry this mission forward, sustained by your prayers.

Thank you for your faithful support and sacrifice. As spring arrives, there is much preparation taking place at our North Korean Escapees’ Community Center. Please continue to pray for the center, trusting that God has prepared good works for us to do.

In the coming weeks, we will share more specific prayer requests and updates about what God is doing. Our desire is for Caleb Mission to stand together with you—raising North Korean escapees as leaders and praying for the restoration of the Korean Peninsula through the gospel. Thank you.

In Christ’s love and service, Pastor Seungeun Kim

1. Heavenly Father, we pray that the dying souls in North Korea would be saved, that the altars of idols would fall, and that Your church would be established in that land. Please rescue the North Korean escapees suffering in China, nurture them, and raise them as Your holy army.

2. God, pour out the anointing of the Holy Spirit and greater faith upon the missionaries and workers who are carrying out this ministry, so that they may faithfully fulfill the calling You have given them.

3. God, bless those in the United States and around the world who are praying and partnering with us. May their families become channels of blessing, and may Your favor rest upon their work and businesses, so that what they have sown will never be in vain.

In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.
