Hallelujah! I pray that the God of peace will be with you. Your prayers have been a great source of strength for Caleb Mission, and this work continues only by Godās grace.
Rescuing North Korean escapees requires significant financial resources, yet we continue because we believe in the immeasurable value of saving even one soul. Like a shepherd searching for one lost sheep, we remain committed to this mission. However, the situation in China is becoming more difficultārising exchange rates are increasing costs, and many escapees hesitate to flee due to fear of severe punishment if caught.
In the midst of these challenges, I continue to travel throughout the United States and other countries to raise awareness of North Korean human rights. While international interest remains strong, support within Korea has declined due to economic hardship, creating ongoing challenges for our ministry.
By Godās grace, we have been able to rescue an average of four escapees each month. Recently, we safely rescued six individuals, including two children. We are deeply grateful for Godās faithfulnessāthere has not been a single prayer He has not answered, nor a life He has not been able to save.
Dear friends, prayer is our victory. Your obedience and generosity become a channel through which lives are saved, and the gospel is proclaimed.
I was recently appointed as the presiding leader of the Gyeonggi Eastern Presbytery of the Baekseok denomination. As part of this role, I will be traveling to the United States next week with fellow pastors. Please pray that God would lead us to those He has prepared and use us as a channel of blessing.
This journey will be physically demanding. As you know, I have undergone multiple surgeries, and it has been physically very challenging. Even so, I continue in faith, believing this is the mission the Lord has entrusted to me. I humbly ask for your prayers.
While I am away from Korea, it has also been challenging to support the escapees at our North Korean Community Center as they prepare for independent living. Yet I trust that God will bring greater fruit through these difficulties.
On August 20, we will celebrate the 20th anniversary of Caleb Missionās official national registration. We would be honored to have you join us for this meaningful occasion.
Thank you.
In Christās love and service, Pastor Seungeun Kim
